Dairy and cheese.
Gorgonzola needs to breathe, grated cheese runs on very fast lines, and a thermoformed portion calls for a completely different film. There is no single material for the whole dairy range: the structure is chosen cheese by cheese.
Coffee.
After thirty days, coffee can lose up to 45% of its volatile compounds. With some paper packaging, aroma losses exceed 80%. How much stays in the bag depends on the film, and on how you manage the CO₂ from roasting.
Rice.
Vacuum compresses the grain, modified atmosphere leaves it whole: for a risotto rice the difference shows on the shelf. And the sharp edges of the grains puncture the film: the vacuum seal depends on the elasticity of the laminate, not just on its thickness.
Fresh pasta.
If you pasteurize or sterilize after packaging, the seal has to withstand the treatment. And the right structure changes with the machine: the one for a vertical form fill seal machine is not the one for a thermoforming machine.
Frozen foods.
In frozen food, the film does not have to stop oxygen. It has to hold: against the sharp edges of the product, the cold at –18 degrees, the weight dropping from above onto a seal that is still hot. And it has to slip, because those lines run at over 90 strokes per minute.
Cereals and bars.
To preserve products such as dried fruit, cereals, bars and jams, we offer cutting-edge packaging solutions that protect against light, air and moisture. The packaging solutions include mono-material options in PP, PE and PET, as well as recyclable paper packaging certified to the Aticelca® 501 standard. Our packaging can be customised with flexographic or rotogravure printing. Each solution ensures ease of use and high quality, offering excellent mechanical resistance to stress, an outstanding barrier against aromas and the perfect answer to the specific needs of the sector.
Bakery products.
The flexible films we offer for baked goods are designed for high-consumption single-portion foods, such as biscuits, snacks and crackers, ideal for being opened and enjoyed quickly. Made without solvents to ensure maximum authenticity, our packaging solutions provide excellent protection from aromas and moisture.
Cured meats and cold cuts.
The LED lights of supermarket display counters alter the colour, flavour and quality of cured meats — and on cooked products and mortadella it shows sooner than anywhere else. Against that light you need a barrier that standard anti-UV films do not provide.
Dry pasta.
We offer mono-material, multilayer and paper-based, solvent-free laminated packaging solutions. Our films can be customized with flexographic and rotogravure printing up to 10 colors plus tactile coatings. These packaging solutions, ideal for dry pasta, not only provide an effective barrier against moisture and external agents, ensuring maximum product preservation and freshness, but are also designed to highlight the product’s qualities and stand out on the shelves, delivering a visual and tactile experience that captures the consumer’s attention.
